
Pongsak Winitchayanon from Bangkok University and Piyatida Homkajorn from Srinakharinwirot University stood atop the podium at the Hua Hin Grand Prix 2026, the Thai Jet Ski Championship known as the Toyota - WGP#1 Waterjet Pro Tour Thailand 2026. The thrilling water competition runs from 28 to 31 May 2026 at Suan Son Pradipat Beach in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
The second round of the Hua Hin Grand Prix 2026, organized by the Jet Ski Association of Thailand and WGP#1, received support from the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund, Siam Watercraft, and the Government Lottery Office. Collaboration also came from the Thammanat Prompao Foundation, with MP Jakpan Piyapornpaiboon, representative of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province Constituency 2 (Hua Hin and Pranburi) from the Kla Party, and Nopporn Wutthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin Municipality, jointly hosting the Thai Jet Ski Championship event Toyota - WGP#1 Waterjet Pro Tour Thailand 2026. The event delivers four days of thrilling competition from 28 to 31 May 2026 at Suan Son Pradipat Beach, Hua Hin.
Today marked the official opening ceremony led by the Jet Ski Association of Thailand under royal patronage, with Police General Detnarong Sutthichanbancha, president of the association, and Jiraporn Kanjanapitak, secretary general, receiving honor from Hua Hin Deputy Mayor Sanphop Uengrasi, who chaired the ceremony. Also present were Lieutenant Sithichai Tandasit, Prachuap Khiri Khan Tourism and Sports official, and Natpong Thongkaew, policy and operation analyst, who watched the WGP#3 beginner class slalom timed final.
The highlight today was the university men's 1-Lap Slalom category, ages 17-22, SEADOO Spark-DB Standard, featuring 12 competitors from 8 universities. Pongsak Wanichyanont from Bangkok University, representing KJ Racing Factory, secured the championship by setting the best lap records in both motos at 1:31.62 and 1:31.41, earning a perfect 40 points and claiming the first title of the Hua Hin Grand Prix 2026.
In the women's university category, 1-Lap Slalom, ages 17-22, SEADOO Spark-DB Standard, Piyatida Homkajorn from Srinakharinwirot University and G-Force Powersports Pattaya matched the men's performance with best lap times of 1:32.32 and 1:32.14, winning the women's championship.
For the university categories, both men and women, official Thai Championship points will be counted starting from rounds 2 through 4 (three rounds total). The first round in Nong Khai served as an experience-building competition in a real race setting.
