Consistent Form: Somkiat Doubles Points at World Superbike Championship 2026 Round 6 in Spain

Consistent strong form: Somkiat Chantra doubles his points at the 2026 World Superbike Championship Round 6 at MotorLand Aragon.

The World Superbike Championship 2026 Round 6, Race 2, took place on Sunday, 31 May, at MotorLand Aragon in Spain, on a 5.077-kilometer circuit.

After a solid performance in Race 1, finishing 13th (later penalized two positions), and battling intensely within the group, Somkiat Chantra, the Thai rider with bike number 35 from the Honda HRC factory team, gained confidence for this race. His British teammate, Jake Dixon, missed Race 2 due to not passing fitness requirements.

The race consisted of 18 laps. Somkiat started again from grid 18. At the first corner, an unexpected collision involving two riders occurred, but Somkiat skillfully avoided the crash, advancing to 16th place by the end of the first lap.

Somkiat then overtook another rider and crossed the finish line in 15th place, reducing the gap to the leader to 31.608 seconds. He earned points in both races at MotorLand Aragon, ranking 23rd in the championship standings with a total of 4 points.

The next round of the World Superbike Championship will take place from 12 to 14 June at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy.
