
Wieng Kaen Kindergarten staged an upset by defeating the Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization to win the HISENSE Youth Cup Year 3 football championship in an exciting finish.
The HISENSE Football Youth Cup Sponsorship 2026 Year 3 tournament concluded with the young players from Wieng Kaen Kindergarten defying expectations by holding their opponents from the Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization School (PAO Chiang Rai School) to a 0-0 draw, then winning 1-0 in a penalty shootout to claim the title and a 30,000 baht cash prize.
The HISENSE Football Youth Cup Sponsorship 2026 Year 3, with total prizes exceeding 200,000 baht, was held at Singha Chiang Rai Stadium in Chiang Rai province. HISENSE continues to support the development of Thai youth aspiring to become professional footballers and emphasizes using sports to cultivate quality youth who contribute positively to society across regions.
At the championship final, Miss Clara Chang, President of Hisense ASEAN and Managing Director of Hisense Thailand, attended along with Piyarat Tiyapairat, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, executives from the Sports Authority of Thailand, the Cultural Council, Singha Chiang Rai Club officials, and Chiang Rai provincial leaders to present the trophies at Singha Chiang Rai Stadium.
The final match featured a local showdown between the host team, Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization School, and Wieng Kaen Kindergarten from Chiang Rai province.
In this match, both teams were unable to score during regular time. Although Wieng Kaen Kindergarten was considered the underdog, they fought hard and became the stronger side.
An upset occurred when Wieng Kaen Kindergarten defeated the Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization School 1-0 in the penalty shootout.
As a result, Wieng Kaen Kindergarten claimed the championship, receiving 30,000 baht in prize money, a trophy, and audiovisual equipment valued at over 120,000 baht.
The runner-up, Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization School, received a 20,000 baht scholarship along with a trophy.
Meanwhile, the third-place match saw Maesai Kindergarten School from Chiang Rai defeat Ban Mai Prakob Rat Wittayanukul Municipality School 2 from Chiang Rai 1-0.
Thus, Maesai Kindergarten School secured third place, earning a 10,000 baht scholarship and a trophy.
The fourth place went to Ban Mai Prakob Rat Wittayanukul Municipality School 2, which received a 7,000 baht scholarship and a trophy.
Additional awards for excellence were also presented as follows:
- Best cheering team: Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization School, awarded a 5,000 baht scholarship.
- Most valuable player: Wongsakorn Saema from Wieng Kaen Kindergarten School, awarded a 4,000 baht scholarship and a trophy.
- Top scorer: Tatsanai Kaewthep from Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization School, awarded a 4,000 baht scholarship and a trophy.
- Best goalkeeper: Thanadon Boontan from Wieng Kaen Kindergarten School, awarded a 4,000 baht scholarship and a trophy.
