
Singha Swimming Club made a spectacular showing in Singapore, winning 8 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals, totaling 17 awards brought back to Thailand. "Mermaid Oil" Saowanee Boonumpai, the national team heroine, won the most gold medals individually with 3. Meanwhile, Singha is already preparing to continue its success by sending the main national team to an intensive training camp in Kunming, aiming for outstanding results at the 20th Asian Games in the land of the Samurai.
Singha Swimming Club sent its top national swimmers to compete impressively at the 21st Singapore National Swimming Championships 2026 (21st SNSC 2026) held at OCBC Aquatic Centre, Republic of Singapore, from 27 to 30 May 2026. The Singha swimmers secured a total of 17 medals: 8 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze, and set two new Thai national records.
At this event, "Mermaid Oil" Saowanee Boonumpai, the national team hero, alone won the most gold medals for Thailand with 3: the 50-meter breaststroke in 31.94 seconds,
the 100-meter breaststroke in 1 minute 10.90 seconds, and the 50-meter backstroke in 28.96 seconds.
Maria Nedelka won gold in the 800-meter freestyle with a finishing time of 8 minutes 59.79 seconds. In the 1,500-meter freestyle, "Nong Kaem" Thitirath Charoensap also claimed gold with a time of 17 minutes 13.53 seconds. Meanwhile, Mia Millar secured gold in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1 minute 03.15 seconds.
Additionally, in the 4x100 meter freestyle relay, Mia Millar and Maria Nedelka teamed up with Manee Kaewpichit and Chayanis Sirapongrak to win gold for Thailand with a combined time of 3 minutes 53.83 seconds.
The four talented swimmers—Naphak Saiyawong, Purichaya Chanyamitri, Chayanis Sirapongrak, and Warisara Nopthong—also delivered an outstanding performance in the 4x100 meter medley relay, winning gold to close the final day with a combined time of 4 minutes 21.62 seconds.
Besides the 8 gold medals, the team earned 5 silver medals from Warisara Nopthong in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:20.58 minutes; Mia Millar in the 200-meter backstroke at 2:18.97 minutes; Maria Nedelka in the 200-meter freestyle at 2:02.95 minutes; Naphak Saiyawong in the 50-meter backstroke at 29.99 seconds; and the mixed 4x100 meter medley relay team (Mia Millar, Purichaya Chanyamitri, Supakorn Jaikla, Kantinan Adisaisiribut) finishing in 4:03.74 minutes.

The 4 bronze medals came from Thitirath Charoensap in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 9:05.00 minutes; Maria Nedelka in the 400-meter freestyle at 4:24.24 minutes; the men's 4x200 meter freestyle relay team (Supakorn Jaikla, Kantinan Adisaisiribut, Phoranyoo Owarakorn, Komchan Wichachai) with a time of 7:51.22 minutes; and the 100-meter backstroke by "Nong Pleng" Naphak Saiyawong, who also broke the Thai national record for the 12-13 age group with a time of 1:04.45 minutes.
Besides "Nong Pleng" Naphak breaking the record, in the 50-meter butterfly, "Nong Joobjeeb" Chayanis Sirapongrak, a rising star on the youth national team, also set a new Thai record in the Group 2 (ages 14-15) qualifying round with a time of 27.62 seconds, breaking the previous record of 27.67 seconds.
This achievement marks another significant milestone for Thai swimming and signals positive preparation ahead of the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Singha Corporation Limited sent 14 top national swimmers from Singha Swimming Club to compete, led by head coach "Coach Yut" Yutthana Kultan, along with coaches Natchatanan Chankrajang, Chalermpong Kongsukthana, and sports scientist and physiotherapist Apatsara Chomsantia.
After the competition, Singha Corporation Limited plans to send the main national team to train at high altitude in Kunming, People's Republic of China, for intensive preparation aiming for excellent results at the 20th Asian Games (Asian Games 2026), scheduled to be held in Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from 19 September to 4 October 2026.
