
ACC President highlights Thailand's readiness to host the Asian Balance Bike Championship next year; foreign participants praise the excellent competition standards and organization.
Dato Amajit Singh Gill, President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), confirmed Thailand's comprehensive readiness to host the Asian Balance Bike Championship again in 2027. Meanwhile, the managers of the Pakistan national team and Malaysia's M8 team expressed their admiration for the event's management, praising Thailand's organizational standards as excellent. They plan to return to compete next year. The event's live broadcasts on Facebook Live and YouTube attracted over 12,000 views, with several participating countries watching the competition.
The Asian Balance Bike 2026 Presented by BATAC took place on 6-7 June 2026 at Island Hall, 3rd Floor, Fashion Island Shopping Mall, Ram Inthra Road, Bangkok. On 7 June, the event was a Challenge level race open to general participants, including athletes from various Asian countries who had competed in the Championship level event the day before. The competition was streamed live on the Thailand Cycling Association's Facebook Live and TCA Channel, as well as on YouTube via TCA Channel, with a combined viewership exceeding 12,000. Numerous countries with participating athletes also followed the broadcasts.
Lieutenant General Decha Hemkrasri, Vice President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), President of the ASEAN Cycling Federation (ACF), and President of the Cycling Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, expressed gratitude to Dato Amajit Singh Gill for approving Thailand to host the 2026 Asian Balance Bike Championship. The ACC President noted that eight Asian countries participated, marking a promising start, and expressed confidence that more member countries will send athletes in the coming year.
Lieutenant General Decha added that Dato Amajit Singh Gill confirmed Thailand is fully prepared to host the event again in 2027, citing convenient travel options, a variety of accommodation levels, and diverse food choices. However, final approval must come from the ACC Congress 2027 general assembly in China next year.
"Overall, this year's Asian Balance Bike Championship was highly successful. We thank the parents who brought their children to participate and make history together. Athletes aiming to represent Thailand next year must meet the criteria of competing in at least four out of five races in the Thailand Balance Bike Championship series. The second race will be held at Kamol Sports Park (FBT), Suwinthawong Road, Nong Chok District, on 5 July; the third and fourth races at Central Korat Shopping Center, Nakhon Ratchasima, on 15 July and 2 August respectively; and the final race back at Kamol Sports Park on 6 September. We encourage all the children to train diligently for the chance to represent Thailand in next year’s Asian Championship," Lieutenant General Decha said.
Mr. Muhammad Haroon, manager of the Pakistan national team, and his wife, Mrs. Maham Tariq, expressed their great admiration for the 2026 Asian Balance Bike Championship held in Thailand. They described the experience as excellent, praising the outstanding management and the event as a very good idea. They found everything well organized and impressive, which made the competition enjoyable. Although their children did not win, they acknowledged the need for more training and are preparing to come back stronger next year, thanking organizers and confirming their intent to participate again soon.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mohammad Bin Awabuddin, manager of Malaysia's M8 team, thanked and congratulated the organizing committee for a very well-executed event. He described it as a highly standardized competition with complete facilities. The event included prize draws that delighted all Malaysian cyclists, bringing great joy to the children. Overall, he said it was a very good competition and they will return next year. He also mentioned possibly bringing athletes to compete in national-level events in southern Thailand.

Boys age 3 – 1st Kawin Kulprasert, 2nd Thanthanat Thammapharacharoen, 3rd Thanapat Paengngam; Girls age 3 – 1st Natthida Jandi, 2nd Purichaya Prachakul, 3rd Naphatchanan Patamakulchai.
Boys age 4 – 1st Parin Surakhan, 2nd Thanasak Nontarak, 3rd Akin Thirachariyaphiban; Girls age 4 – 1st Patthiya Majai, 2nd Wachiraporn Noonna, 3rd Nalinrat Nakkwan.

Boys age 8-11 – 1st Patcharapol Parabin, 2nd Papawin Wareewarach, 3rd Kawai Bakwirun (Philippines team); Girls age 8-11 – 1st Jicha Junapong, 2nd Nur Fasura Fariza Binti Muhammad Fariduddin Fawaz (Malaysia team), 3rd Rinrada Kasetphiban. The next event organized by the Cycling Association of Thailand will be the Thailand Open Mountain Bike and Road Championships 2026, the second race taking place in Kamphaeng Phet Province on 13-14 June.
