Somkiat Improves Speed, Ranks 19th in First Practice of World Superbike 2026 Round 7

Thai rider Somkiat Chantra improved his speed, ranking 19th in the first practice session of the World Superbike 2026, Round 7.


The World Superbike Championship 2026 Round 7 is scheduled from 12-14 June at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy. Yesterday, "Kong" Somkiat Chantra, the Thai rider with bike number 35 from the Honda HRC factory team, participated in the first two practice sessions.

He focused primarily on working with the bike’s setup to find the best balance for qualifying and both races this weekend. In practice, Somkiat improved his speed across both sessions, securing 19th place on the first day with a best lap time of 1 minute 34.002 seconds, trailing the leader by 1.767 seconds.

Somkiat Chantra said, "Right now, our team is analyzing everything, and we hope to combine all the data to use effectively and step up our performance. I invite Thai fans to join in cheering for this race, and I hope the results will be as good as we aim for."

The World Superbike 2026 Round 7 will proceed with the Superpole qualifying session on Saturday, 13 June, followed by Race 1 at 20:30 Thailand time. On Sunday, 14 June, the Superpole Race will take place at 16:00, concluding with Race 2 at 19:00 Thailand time.
