Yamaha launches the vocational two-wheel racing battle, officially opening the YAMAHA MOTO CHALLENGE 2026 Season 11.
Mr. Weeraphong Thanakitchananont, General Manager of Motorsports at Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., together with senior executives from Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., took a group photo with Mr. Wichian Niamnom, President of the Association of Private Vocational Colleges of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as well as competition sponsors at the official opening ceremony of the YAMAHA MOTO CHALLENGE 2026 Season 11.
The YAMAHA MOTO CHALLENGE serves as an important platform to develop motorsports and technical skills for Thai vocational students, offering competitors opportunities to learn both theoretical and practical aspects through real nationwide racing experience. It also helps create quality personnel for Thailand’s automotive and motorsports industries in the future.
The YAMAHA MOTO CHALLENGE 2026 Season 11 opening race takes place under the NEXZTER BRIC Superbike Championship 2026, Round 1, at Chang International Circuit, Buriram Province. Fifteen vocational institutions from across the country participated, using the YAMAHA YZF-R15 motorcycle with a 155 cc engine as the standard race bike. Besides gaining experience on an internationally standardized race track, students learn to work as a team in roles such as racer, engineer, and technician, enhancing their knowledge and experience toward future careers. Yamaha remains committed to supporting Thai youth development through motorsports activities under the concept FEEL THE UNIQUE EXPERIENCE, delivering Kando—excitement and impressions beyond expectations—through real race experiences to inspire and open opportunities for Thai youth to fully realize their motorsport potential.
The YAMAHA MOTO CHALLENGE 2026 Season 11 Round 1 is held from 20 to 22 June 2026 within the NEXZTER BRIC Superbike Championship 2026 at Chang International Circuit, Buriram Province.
