Kiattisak Singhapong showed great strength and composure to secure a top 5 finish in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2026 Assen Race 2.
Rising star Kiattisak Singhapong, riding for Honda Racing Thailand and bearing number 85, continued his impressive form at Round 4 of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2026 in Assen, held at TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands from 26-28 June 2026.
In Race 1, Kiattisak started from 9th on the grid and aggressively overtook competitors to finish 6th, earning 10 additional points and bringing his season total to 57 points, breaking into the top 5.
In the latest Race 2 on the afternoon of Sunday, 28 June, Kiattisak began in 11th position but faced a challenging start as he was pushed back to 14th early in the race. However, the young Thai rider demonstrated skill, determination, and mental toughness by increasing his pace to fiercely compete with other young talents from around the world in an intense battle.
With four laps remaining, Kiattisak encountered another critical test when he dropped from the front pack to 15th place. Yet, showing the promise of a future star, he managed to recover and overtake to finish 5th, earning 11 more points and raising his season total to 68 points, climbing to 4th place with podium hopes for the 2026 season.
Kiattisak Singhapong said, “I really enjoyed the race. I tried not to pressure myself and looked for overtaking opportunities step by step. Once I moved up towards the front, it became even more exciting. I’m grateful for all the support and encouragement I have received.”
Kiattisak will next compete in Round 5 of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2026 at the Sachsenring Circuit in Germany from 10-12 July 2026.
