The highly anticipated youth sports festival has officially commenced!
Government Savings Bank is advancing its mission to create opportunities for Thai youth by organizing the “School Bank Sports Festival, Government Savings Bank 2026 (GSB Youth Sports Festival 2026),” the 17th season competing for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, along with total prize money exceeding 4.6 million baht. The event seeks to find the best youth athletes under 18 from schools participating in the School Bank project nationwide.
This year's competition features three popular sports: boys' football, boys' basketball, and girls' volleyball. The qualifying rounds are held across six venues nationwide: Bangkok, Songkhla, Nakhon Ratchasima, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Sawan, and Chiang Rai, selecting the champion and runner-up teams from each venue, totaling 12 teams to advance to the national finals in Bangkok this November.
This project is not just a competition but also a platform to develop youth potential comprehensively—in discipline, responsibility, self-management, sports science knowledge, and pathways to further education or professional sports careers. It also promotes the role of the School Bank project in sustainably developing Thai youth.
The first venue, “Bangkok,” concluded with intense competition!
The season-opening event held from 22-26 June 2026 in Bangkok concluded with teams qualifying for the national finals in all three sports categories as follows:
Boys' basketball under-18 category
Champion: Assumption Thonburi School
Runner-up: Satriwitthaya 2 School
Girls' volleyball under-18 category
Champion: Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School
Runner-up: Vichuthit School
Boys' football under-18 category
Champion: Rajavinit Bangkhen School
Runner-up: Vichuthit School
These six teams have secured their places in the national finals and will compete to win the Royal Trophy and make history in the competition.
The battle continues… excitement is moving to “Songkhla”
After the first venue, the competition's intensity continues as the second venue will be held in Songkhla from 6-10 July 2026 to select six more teams to qualify for the national finals.
Sports fans and interested parties can cheer on and follow which teams will emerge as regional stars and advance toward the national championship, as every match tests the spirit of the fighters and every point could change the future of Thai youth.
Government Savings Bank believes the “GSB Youth Sports Festival 2026” will be a vital platform to inspire, develop potential, and open opportunities for Thai youth to succeed in sports, academics, and life ahead.
