Honda HRC Full Team Led by Somkiat to Compete in 2026 World Superbike Round 8

Honda HRC fields a full team with Thai racing legend Somkiat Chantra leading the charge at the 2026 World Superbike Round 8.

Honda HRC, the renowned Japanese racing team, returns with a full lineup to compete in the 2026 World Superbike Championship Round 8 at Donington Park, United Kingdom, from 10 to 12 July.

Recently, "Kong" Somkiat Chantra, the beloved Thai rider and team’s key competitor with race number 35, arrived at the track to prepare alongside his team, aiming to boost his speed throughout every segment despite this being his first race at this circuit.

Somkiat Chantra said, "This weekend we will race at Donington, which will be my first competition here. However, we had a full day of testing at the track last June, and the results were quite good. I hope this will help us start strong."

"I will do my best, not only working closely with the team in the pits but also adapting my riding style to suit the bike and this circuit. As always, my goal is to improve in every segment and make the most of this weekend," the Thai rider revealed.

The 2026 World Superbike Championship Round 8 officially begins practice sessions on Friday, 10 July, followed by qualifying (Superpole) on Saturday, 11 July, with the first race scheduled for 21:30 Thailand time that evening.

On Sunday, 12 July, the "Superpole Race" will take place at 17:10, concluding with Race 2 at 21:30 Thailand time.
