Thanach Takes Pole Position, Krisada Follows in Second on MSBK 600 Grid at Malaysia Superbike 2026 Round 2

Thanach Laongpliu rode to pole position with Krisada Thanachot close behind, securing second place on the MSBK 600 grid at the Malaysia Superbike Round 2 at Sepang.


Honda Racing Thailand delivered an outstanding performance in qualifying to determine the starting order for Malaysia Superbike Round 2 at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia. Thanach “Mix” Laongpliu claimed pole position, while teammate Krisada “Hipec” Thanachot secured the second starting grid, both benefiting from the superior performance of the Honda CBR600RR bike. They are set to battle in two final races this weekend.

In the MSBK600 qualifying, Mix Thanach Laongpliu, riding bike number 31, recorded the fastest lap time of 2:09.688 minutes to take pole position. This marks Mix's continued improvement, securing pole position for the second consecutive round in this series. His teammate, Hipec Krisada Thanachot, bike number 18, fought hard in qualifying to claim the second starting grid with a lap time of 2:10.970 minutes. This is the best grid position achieved by a Thai rider, setting the stage for a strong challenge for victory in this round.

The Malaysia Superbike Championship 2026 Round 2 will hold the first final race on Saturday, 11 July 2026, at 13:50 Thailand time.
