
Honda Racing Thailand set a record as Thanach Laongpliu secured his fourth consecutive win, alongside teammate Krisda Thanachot achieving a double podium finish in the MSBK600 class at Round 2 in Sepang.
The Thai riders from Honda Racing Thailand continued to showcase their competitive strength, reinforcing the success of the Thai mechanics team. Led by "Mix" Thanach Laongpliu, who achieved a commanding solo victory, and his partner "Hypek" Krisda Thanachot, who fought his way up to third place on the podium in the Malaysia Superbike Championship 2026 Round 2 Race 2, MSBK600 class, at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, on Sunday, 12 July.
The second race was held on a dry track. "Mix" Thanach Laongpliu, number 31, started from pole position and immediately took the lead. Meanwhile, teammate "Hypek" Krisda Thanachot, number 18, started from the last grid and began aggressively overtaking competitors from the start by setting the fastest lap times early in the race.
"Mix" Thanach Laongpliu quickly took the lead and pulled away, maintaining his speed and managing the race expertly. He finished first again, achieving a perfect 100 percent win rate across the first two rounds.
Meanwhile, teammate "Hypek" Krisda Thanachot fought hard, overtaking rivals until the final corner to cross the finish line in third place, securing a double podium for the team at this event following his comeback from injury and earning valuable points in the championship race.
The Malaysia Superbike Championship 2026 Round 3 will return for another speed duel from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
