Thai Jet Ski Team Soars to Top of Standings, Contends for Championship at Bulgaria Grand Prix 2026

"Nong Pai" claims first gold as the Thai jet ski team heats up and rises to lead the overall standings, contending for the championship at the Bulgaria Grand Prix 2026.

The World Jet Ski Championship "WGP1 WaterJet World Series 2026" kicked off its season at Sarafovo Beach. On the second day, the competition intensified, with the Thai jet ski athletes showing strong form and impressing on the global stage.

“Nong Pai” avenged the European champion and won the inaugural title! The highlight came in the JUNIOR 13-15 SPARK STOCK category when Natthakitt Suriyathiwat (#10) competed against Hugo Morales (#67), the European champion from Spain. Nong Pai did not disappoint Thai fans, taking the holeshot and maintaining the lead to finish first with a total of 173 points, decisively proving his superiority in this class. The “Thunder Twins” and “Mio” remain unbeatable.

In the semi-pro EXPERT SKI GP class, “Saint Twin” Thanawit Moli (#T30) showed fighting spirit despite a jump start that made his start difficult. Using his experience, he overtook rivals to claim an incredible win in Moto 2, putting him close to securing the event championship.

Meanwhile, “Mio” Sasina Phiangam (#T26), the world champion, continued her dominant form, leading from start to finish and scoring a perfect 120 points in Moto 2, moving closer every moment to the championship trophy.

In the EXPERT RUNABOUT 1100 SUPERSTOCK class, after two motos, “World Champion Bank” Pittipong Kiattikamolkul (#9) holds second place, trailing leader Dieter Aerts (#31) from Belgium by 12 points. However, everything remains open for the deciding moto tomorrow.

In the professional PRO-AM SKI STOCK class, the “Thunder Twins,” Sigth #T4 Thanawin Moli and Saint #T30 Thanawit Moli, continue their superior form, finishing first and second respectively, firmly holding the top of the standings. Their path to the Bulgaria podium looks promising.

The fierce battle in the premier PRO RUNABOUT GP class, the fastest and most powerful in the world, heated up. In Moto 1, François Miedory (#4) took the win, but in Moto 2, the situation shifted as frontrunners Miedory and James Bushell faced engine troubles. This opened the door for “Powerhouse Champion” Kasidit Theeraprateep (#T142) to surge ahead. Despite losing rhythm when his goggles came off, allowing Gorky Casa (#5) to win, Kasidit leads the combined standings after two motos with 106 points, narrowly ahead of François Miedory by just 7 points.

Tomorrow's championship-deciding race will be a critical test to see who can maintain strong form and claim the trophy at the Bulgaria Grand Prix 2026. Thai sports fans are urged not to miss it and to cheer on the Thai jet ski athletes as they aim to stand atop the podium.
