"Nong Pai" wins first gold! The Thai jetski team is on fire, soaring to the top of the overall standings as they vie for the championship at the 2026 Bulgaria Grand Prix.
The jetski world championship "WGP1 Waterjet World Series 2026" opened its season at Sarafovo Beach, Burgas, Bulgaria. On the second day, the competition intensified as the Thai jetskiers displayed impressive strength and proudly asserted their status on the global stage.
A remarkable highlight in the JUNIOR 13-15 SPARK STOCK category saw Nong Pai Natthakit Suriyothiwat (#10) face off against Hugo Morales (#67), the European champion from Spain. Nong Pai did not disappoint Thai fans, securing the holeshot and maintaining the lead to win decisively with a total of 173 points, firmly establishing his dominance in this class.
In the semi-professional EXPERT SKI GP category, "Saint Twin" Thanawich Moli (#T30) showed fighting spirit despite a jump start penalty that forced a difficult start. Using experience, he overtook competitors to claim a stunning victory in Moto 2, positioning himself to win this event.
Meanwhile, "Mio" Sasina Phiwngam (#T26), the young world champion, continued her flawless performance by leading from start to finish, earning a perfect 120 points in Moto 2 and moving ever closer to the championship trophy.
In the EXPERT RUNABOUT 1100 SUPERSTOCK category, after two motos, "World Champion Bank" Pittipong Kiattikamonkul (#9) holds second place, trailing leader Dieter Aerts (#31) from Belgium by 12 points. However, the championship decision remains open for tomorrow's final moto.
In the professional PRO-AM SKI STOCK category, the "Thunder Twins," Sig #T4 Thanawin Moli and Saint #T30 Thanawich Moli, continue their superior form by finishing first and second, securely holding the top spots in the overall standings. Their path to the podium in Bulgaria looks promising.
The premier and fastest category became a fierce battleground! In Moto 1, François Miedory (#4) claimed the win, but Moto 2 saw a dramatic turn as top contenders Miedory and James Bushell faced engine troubles. This opened the door for the "Power Champion" Kasidit Theeraprateep (#T142) to surge ahead. Despite a momentary setback when his goggles fell off, allowing Gorky Casa (#5) to take the win, Kasidit leads the combined standings after two motos with 106 points, narrowly ahead of François Miedory by just 7 points.
Tomorrow's championship decider will be a crucial test to see who can maintain strong form to claim the "2026 Bulgaria Grand Prix" trophy. Thai sports fans are urged to cheer on their jetski athletes as they strive to reach the top of the podium!
