"Mai Q" Kiattisak Singhapong, a rising star from Honda Racing Thailand, maintained his momentum by scoring points in race 2 of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2026 Round 5 at the Sachsenring Circuit in Germany.
The young Thai rider delivered an outstanding performance in race 1, climbing from the back of the grid to secure 3rd place on the podium, marking his second podium of the season. However, race 2 unfolded differently. "Mai Q" Kiattisak began by managing his pace and preserving his tires for the final stage, but with 5 laps remaining, while positioned 11th and pushing to improve his position, an accident occurred that led to the race being stopped with a red flag.
As a result of this incident, "Mai Q" Kiattisak Singhapong finished the race in 11th place, earning 5 additional points. His total points now stand at 89, placing him 6th in the overall season standings. The young Thai rider will next compete at Misano, Italy, from 11-13 September.
