Honda Racing Thailand Riders Start Strong as Chip and Mix Lead ARRC Round 4 Qualifying

Honda Racing Thailand riders Nakarin Athiratphuvapat and Thanach Laongpliu kicked off Round 4 of the ARRC at Mandalika with impressive lap times, securing positions at the front of the grid.

On the first day of Free Practice at the 2026 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) Round 4 at Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia, Honda Racing Thailand riders conducted intensive track sessions to prepare thoroughly ahead of Saturday's qualifying rounds.

In the Asia Production 250cc class (AP250), rookie sensation "Fer" Panjaruj Jitvirulchat faced the challenge of riding Mandalika for the first time on bike number 12. He quickly adapted to the circuit, moving from 25th place in Free Practice 1 to 23rd in Free Practice 3, recording his best lap time of 1 minute 48.333 seconds across all three sessions.

In the fiercely contested Supersport 600cc class, "Mix" Thanach Laongpliu, riding bike number 31, showed consistency by finishing Free Practice 1 in 5th place and climbing to 3rd in Free Practice 3 with his best lap of 1 minute 37.932 seconds, less than half a second behind the fastest rider.

Meanwhile, "Hypek" Krisda Thanachot on bike number 18 delivered an impressive performance, starting Free Practice 1 in 7th place and continuously improving his lap times with each session, ending with a best time of 1 minute 38.769 seconds, confidently preparing for qualifying.

The sole Thai competitor in the Asia Superbike 1000cc class, "Chip" Nakarin Athiratphuvapat, began Free Practice 1 in 6th place. He then maximized his speed in Free Practice 2, rising to 2nd place before setting the fastest time across all three sessions at 1 minute 35.751 seconds, topping the day's practice and signaling full readiness for the weekend's competition.

Thai motorsport fans are invited to support their riders during qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday, 8 August 2026 (Thailand time).

AP250 Class: Qualifying at 08:30, Race 1 at 13:10.

SS600 Class: Qualifying at 09:10, Race 1 at 14:00.

ASB1000 Class: Qualifying at 10:20, Race 1 at 15:05.
