The 2026 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship Round 4 took place at Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia, where Thai riders from the “Honda Racing Thailand” team showcased top-class fighting skills, thrilling motorsport fans who were glued to their seats.
The excitement began in the Supersport 600cc class. After showing outstanding form in practice sessions, “Mix” Thanach Laongpliu, riding bike number 31, qualified with the 8th fastest time, securing a starting grid position less than one second behind the pole position holder.
This set the stage for a fiercely competitive Race 1. “Mix” Thanach Laongpliu demonstrated composure and sharp skills amid the chaos, skillfully weaving through the elite lead group. Pushing his bike to the limit, he crossed the finish line in 3rd place, proudly securing a podium finish to delight Thai speed fans.
Meanwhile, teammate “Hypek” Krisada Thanachot, number 18, showed full fighting spirit, striving to increase his speed to break into the top 10. Unfortunately, he lost control on lap 8, marking a crucial test to prepare for a comeback in Race 2.
Moving to the Asia Production 250cc class, Race 1 ended with equal excitement. In the morning qualifying session at Mandalika, “Fer” Panjaruj Jitwirulchat, number 12, faced a significant challenge, securing the 28th starting position before the afternoon race.
However, when the red lights went out signaling the start, “Fer” Panjaruj Jitwirulchat remained calm and tactically executed his race plan, pushing the bike’s performance to overtake 13 competitors and surge to a 15th place finish, earning valuable championship points.
