Honda Racing Thailand braved the fierce Maldalika challenge! "Chip" Nakarind held a top 4 spot, while "Fer" Panjaruj earned crucial points at the ARRC Round 4 Race 2.
The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 (ARRC) Round 4 concluded fiercely at Maldalika International Circuit on Lombok Island, Indonesia, on Sunday, 9 August.
In Race 2, the Honda Racing Thailand riders faced a demanding test of wind and sunlight, yet each Thai rider displayed full fighting spirit throughout.
After a fierce podium finish and battle with the defending champion in Race 1 of the Asia Superbike 1000cc class, "Chip" Nakarind Athirathphuvapat continued to maintain his fiery form.
When the Race 2 lights went out, "Chip" surged forward, staying with the leading pack and battling the front riders with full honor, eventually crossing the finish line in 4th place, securing full points from both races.
In the Supersport 600cc class, "Mix" Thanach Laongpliu, number 31 and podium finisher in Race 1, came into Race 2 fully determined, starting excellently and aggressively taking the lead and chasing the podium positions intensely.
However, on the final lap, he crashed after contact but, showing true athlete spirit, Mix lifted his bike and continued, finishing 10th and securing important points.
In the Asia Production 250cc class, "Fer" Panjaruj Jitwirunchat, number 12, grew more confident; after scoring points in Race 1, he improved his speed during the morning warm-up and gradually moved up through the field to finish 13th, bringing home more points in style.
Meanwhile, "Hypek" Krisada Thanachot, number 18, was unable to participate in Race 2 of the Supersport 600cc class due to a shoulder injury sustained in Race 1.
The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship still has two rounds remaining, with Round 5 set to take place at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, from 4-6 September 2026.
