
The intense showdown is certain as "Moo Paknam" Noppon Saengkham and "F-One" Thepchaiya Un-Nooh join the Nakhon Sawan-Billiards Association to prepare for the Thai National Snooker Championship battle.
On 23 Aug 2026, Pak Nam Pho city is set to host the Thai National Snooker Championship with prize money of 1.5 million baht. The Nakhon Sawan Sports Association, in partnership with Nakhon Sawan Municipality and the Billiards Association of Thailand, has transformed the 4,000-seat gymnasium into a stage for 32 of Thailand’s top cueists to compete.
To select Thailand’s top player this year, MPs Sanya Nilsuphan and Chada Thaiset lead the event featuring famous Thai cueists including world professional runner-up "Moo Paknam" Noppon Saengkham fresh from the China Open, "F-One" Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, World Open champion earlier this year, "Tong Sitchoi," and "Mind Sakon" Punchaya Jannoi, the women's world champion. The press conference was grand, with the thrilling competition set for 1-6 September.
Ms. Chutiporn Sechang, Governor of Nakhon Sawan province, chaired the press conference for the 2026 Thai National Snooker Championship "I-EA-T Ranking Circuit 2026," the year's final event. Attending were MP Sanya Nilsuphan of Nakhon Sawan, MP Chada Thaiset of Uthai Thani, Pattarawadi Niroj MP for Nakhon Sawan’s District 1, Police General Somsak Chantaping, President of Nakhon Sawan Provincial Administration, Jittakasem Nirojthanarat, Mayor of Nakhon Sawan Municipality, and Sunthorn Jarumon, President of the Billiards Association of Thailand. The event took place at V-Square Shopping Center in Nakhon Sawan on 23 August. Also present were "Moo Paknam" Noppon Saengkham, "F-One" Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, former world number 3 "Tong Sitchoi" Wattana Pu-Ob-Oom, women's world champion "Mind Sakon" Punchaya Jannoi, and other national team snooker players, with enthusiastic local attendance.
Ms. Chutiporn said that Nakhon Sawan province has received full cooperation from all sectors to organize this event, especially the Billiards Association which supports it, and the Nakhon Sawan Municipality which provided the venue and personnel. The competition will be held at the 4,000-seat gymnasium at Nakhon Sawan Provincial Stadium. The main purpose is to develop athletes to become Thailand’s top players and progress to international levels, as well as to promote the sport of snooker widely. The tournament runs from 1-6 September, and all athletes and officials are warmly welcomed to Nakhon Sawan.
Mr. Sanya, as chairman of the Nakhon Sawan Snooker Sports Club and the organizing committee for the Professional Snooker Division 1 Thai Championship, expressed gratitude to the Billiards Association of Thailand for honoring Nakhon Sawan as the host of this major snooker event. The main objective is to prepare athletes for international competition and to develop competition management to international standards, while building career stability and enhancing players' abilities. This event is the final championship round with 32 qualifiers competing for over 1.5 million baht in prize money.
Mr. Chada stated that the Professional Snooker Division 1 Thai Championship is an important platform in Thai snooker, giving skilled players nationwide the opportunity to showcase their talents. The competition focuses on raising Thailand’s snooker standards in player ability, event organization, and audience experience. Top players and rising stars will compete to build their professional careers. He invited snooker fans and the general public to follow and support all players throughout the event and to help advance Thai snooker to international standards.
After the press conference, a special six-red snooker match took place between Mr. Chada and "F-One Nakhon Nayok" Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, ranked 22nd worldwide. There was also a cue skills challenge where attendees competed against "Moo Paknam" and the national team, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.
