TNSU highlights the charm of Muay Thai and Krabi-Krabong at the opening of Thai sports performance and competition activities.
TNSU opened the Thai sports performance and competition activities aimed at boosting economic value through the project “TNSU Cultural Influence Thai Fighting Food & Festival” at Chalerm Phatthar Rachinee Park, Suphanburi Province.
Featuring the charm of Muay Thai and Krabi-Krabong, with Kratip Surangkana joining to sing and enliven the event.
The National Sports University (TNSU) hosted the Thai sports performance and competition event to enhance economic value under the project “TNSU Cultural Influence Thai Fighting Food & Festival” at Chalerm Phatthar Rachinee Park, Suphanburi Province, attracting enthusiastic participation from citizens, youth, and tourists.
The opening ceremony was honored by Governor Natthapong Sanguanjit of Suphanburi presiding, with Assistant Professor Dr. Weerasak Wisalaporn, President of the National Sports University, officially opening the event, and Assistant Professor Anecha Pienthong, Vice President for Student Affairs and Special Projects, reporting on the event’s objectives and significance.
The opening featured the performance “Faith of Siam... to Thai Power,” beautifully conveying Thai values and identity through art, followed by “The Art of Warriors,” showcasing the strength, elegance, and wisdom of Thai martial arts, impressing the audience throughout.
A key highlight was a singing performance by Kratip Surangkana Saengchan, Miss Tourism World 2024 and tourism and sports ambassador of Roi Et Province, who brought joy and a lively atmosphere with songs including “Easy to Guess,” “Still Single, Beautiful,” “Come Back to Love,” “Pain Without Lesson,” and “Ten Thousand Tears Found.”
The event “TNSU Cultural Influence Thai Fighting Food & Festival” promotes children, youth, and the public to exercise, play sports, and continue Thai sports traditions, fostering pride in Thai identity while preserving, restoring, and promoting Thai sports widely.
Additionally, the event aims to link Thai sports with local food, culture, and community tourism to increase economic value, distribute income to local people, and offer opportunities to develop Thai knowledge and wisdom into career paths.
Activities include Thai sports competitions, demonstrations, cultural performances from all four regions, and a cultural market. The highlight is the Muay Thai and Krabi-Krabong competitions, alongside demonstrations of martial arts, traditional games, performances by National Sports University representatives nationwide, Thai food stalls, local dishes, community products, and regional specialties.
The event is conducted under the Green Environment concept by promoting natural materials, reducing waste, and proper waste separation to ensure that the Thai sports and cultural festival proceeds with environmental responsibility.
The public and tourists are invited to watch the Muay Thai and Krabi-Krabong competitions and experience the charm of Thai sports, food, and culture at the “TNSU Cultural Influence Thai Fighting Food & Festival,” running until 8 Sep 2026 GMT+7 at Chalerm Phatthar Rachinee Park near Banhan-Jamsai Tower in Suphanburi Province.
