"Ruangkhao" Lalana Tharaudee, a Thai female tennis player, met with Puerit Pirompakdee, CEO of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., to thank him for continuous support after achieving her best career result by rising to world No. 61. She is the second highest-ranked Thai female tennis player in history, following "Tammy" Tamarine Tanasugarn, a former world No. 19.
"Ruangkhao" began playing tennis at age six and was part of the Singha tennis team from her youth, winning several titles. She was selected for the “Singha Grand Slam Experience” program, which took her to Australia in 2019 to learn about becoming a professional tennis player and experience the Australian Open atmosphere. That experience inspired her to improve her skills, eventually competing in Grand Slam tournaments.
In 2026, Ruangkhao competed in three Grand Slam events: the Australian Open, where she reached the first round, and Wimbledon and the US Open, where she advanced to the second round. Her US Open performance boosted her world ranking by 15 spots, from No. 76 to No. 61, setting a significant record for Thai tennis. Meanwhile, "Mai" Mananchaya Suangkaew, aged 24, also reached the second round of the US Open, rising six places from No. 95 to No. 88, marking her career-high ranking.
