The Thai women's sepak takraw team secured their fifth consecutive championship by defeating South Korea to claim the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games.
On 25 September 2026, at the women's sepak takraw gold medal final of the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, the six-time champion Thai national team faced the "defending runner-up" South Korea.
Thailand defeated South Korea 2-0.
- Team A (Matsaya Duangsri, Nipaporn Salubphon, Wilaiwan Kotprom) won 2-0 sets, 15-13, 15-5.
- Team B (Kaeojai Phumsuangkaew, Atikan Kongkaew, Ratsamee Thongsoad) won 2-0 sets, 15-7, 15-6.
The Thai women's sepak takraw team won their fifth consecutive Asian Games gold medal since 2010, having previously won in 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022, and now 2026. This also marks their seventh championship out of the eight times the sport has been contested at the Asian Games (also winning in 1998 and 2002).
Additionally, the Thai women's sepak takraw team’s gold medal is the sixth gold medal for the Thai contingent at the 2026 Asian Games.
