ThaiBev-Est Cola has donated 20 million baht to celebrate the success of the Thai women’s national volleyball team, who won their 4th Asian Championship title and secured a spot at the 2028 Olympic Games, continuing the mission to bring Thai volleyball to the global arena.
Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, along with executives including Ms. Tharatip Sirinupong, Mr. Surapol Utintu, Mr. Patrick Horatanachai, Ms. Namfon Angsutharangsee, and Ms. Jananya Wijitrayuthrat, joined in congratulating the women's volleyball team.
The Thai national team achieved significant international success by making history with their 4th Asian Championship win and qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, marking Thailand’s first-ever participation. They also earned a bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
To mark this historic achievement awaited for over 60 years, ThaiBev and Est Cola have donated 20 million baht to support the ongoing development of Thai volleyball. The donation is divided into two parts: 12 million baht to the women’s national volleyball players and coaching staff, and 8 million baht to the Volleyball Association of Thailand to prepare for the 2028 Olympic Games. The ceremony was held on 23 September 2026 at the auditorium on the 3rd floor of ThaiBev Quarter, attended by Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand; Wing Commander Charnrit Wongprasert, Honorary Lifetime Vice President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation; Coach Aod Kiattipong Ratchakriangkrai, head coach; team captain Chompoo Pornpun Guedpard; the current national team; and former stars including Gift Wilavan Apinyapong, Nong Pleumjit Thinkaow, Orn Orama Sitthikrak, Na Wanna Buakaew, and Poo Malika Kanthong.
This historic success began at the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Continental Championship held in Tianjin, China, where the Thai women’s volleyball team defeated South Korea 3-0 in the quarterfinals.
They then beat Japan 3-1 in the semifinals and overcame host China 3-2 in the final to claim their 4th Asian Championship title and earn the right to compete in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, a first for Thai women’s volleyball.
Following that, the Thai women’s volleyball team competed at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, securing a bronze medal after a decisive 3-0 victory over South Korea. This was another major achievement and served as preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games.
