Pursuing Second Gold: Biu Puripol Shares Confidence in Winning Men's 200m Gold at 2026 Asian Games
On 26 September 2026, Biu Puripol Boonsoan, Thailand's top sprinter, gave a recent interview after qualifying for the men's 200m final at the 2026 Asian Games by finishing first in the third semifinal heat.
Today, Biu Puripol clocked 20.10 seconds, breaking the Asian Games record previously held by Qatar's Femi Ogunode, who ran 20.14 seconds at the 2014 Asian Games. He is now a strong contender for his second Asian Games gold medal, following his 9.90-second record in the men's 100m event.
