The “Amazing Thailand” under-16 team won all 3 consecutive matches at the international youth ice hockey tournament in Australia.
The Thai youth ice hockey team, known as “Amazing Thailand” under-16, showed strong performance by winning all 3 opening matches at the One Hockey 2026 youth ice hockey tournament held in Newcastle, Australia. This participation was supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to send Thai youth athletes to compete.
The international youth ice hockey competition, the “One Hockey 14th PEE WEE & BANTAM International Tournament 2026,” was held from 2 to 7 November 2026 at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium in Newcastle, Australia. It is a club-level youth tournament with several teams from Thailand participating.
For this competition, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) supported selecting Thai youth ice hockey players to represent Thailand under the team name “Amazing Thailand.” Janista Liu Chaloemwong served as team manager, overseeing players competing in two categories: Pee Wee (under 14) and Bantam (under 16).
In the Bantam under-16 category, the Amazing Thailand team, captained by Pichayapoom Watcharakhun with Narathipphong Jarunsamit and Pakin Kridakon Rinchumpoo as assistant captains, helped the team achieve a clean sweep of 3 wins in the first round.
Meanwhile, the Amazing Thailand Pee Wee under-14 team, captained by Chanathip Wisetphaitoon with Watcharaj Jitthansa and Thanatthas Sarawaniyarak as assistant captains, played 4 matches in the first round, winning 3 and losing 1.
Sending the Amazing Thailand teams to this tournament not only gave Thai youth ice hockey players valuable international competition experience but also served as a channel to promote Thailand through sports activities. This effort, supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, also provides opportunities for Thai youth to showcase their potential on the international stage.
