Latest Report from Songkhla FC After Players Request Help Due to Flooding, Trapped on Upper Floors

Here is the latest report from Songkhla FC after players requested help due to flooding, trapped on upper floors.

On 27 Nov 2025 GMT+7, Songkhla FC, a prominent team in Thai League 2, provided the latest update on assisting their players affected by the Songkhla flooding, with several trapped on upper floors of their dormitory as floodwaters rose.

Among them was Samuel P. Cunningham, a former Thai national team goalkeeper from the 2010 Asian Games, who was trapped on the 4th floor of the dormitory and had not eaten all day, even waving a red flag to request help from outside.

Recently, Songkhla FC revealed that "Samuel P. Cunningham, goalkeeper for the Smila Mermaids, and 'Bas' Panithan Rakbun, a team player, along with the coaching staff, have safely exited the dormitory after being trapped since the first wave of flooding."

"The club thanks everyone for their continuous support during this crisis and appreciates the coaching staff's dedication in assisting to safely bring the athletes out."

Furthermore, Songkhla FC has received approval to postpone their Muang Thai Cup 2025/26 (League Cup) playoff match, originally scheduled to visit Lopburi City on Wednesday, 26 Nov 2025, due to the Songkhla flooding situation.
