
Thailand women's football unveils surprise picks in its 23-player squad for the 2025 SEA Games, aiming to take the championship back from Vietnam.
On 2 December 2025, the Football Association of Thailand under royal patronage announced the 23-player roster for the Thai women's national team for the 33rd SEA Games, hosted by Thailand from 4 to 17 December 2025 at Chonburi Stadium, under the leadership of head coach "Coach Nuengrutai" Srathongvian.
The Thailand women's team is placed in Group A alongside Singapore and Indonesia. In the group stage, the champions and runners-up from each group will advance to the semifinals scheduled for 14 December 2025, with the final set for 17 December 2025.
The Thai women's national football team aims to win their sixth SEA Games gold medal and reclaim the championship from Vietnam, who have won the last four titles. The last time Thailand, known as the "Chaba Kaew," won the SEA Games was in 2013 in Myanmar.

A notable inclusion is Natalie Ngorsuwan, a Thai-New Zealand forward from Wellington United. Her father is a New Zealander and her mother is Thai. She has an impressive record with her club, scoring 35 goals in the Central League competition.
The named Thai women's national team players will check into their accommodation at Kantary Bay Hotel, Si Racha, on 2 December 2025 at 13:40 to prepare for evening training sessions.
