On 2 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Madame Pang Nualphan Lamsam, president of the Football Association of Thailand, visited the training session of the Thailand U23 national team preparing for the 2025 SEA Games, with the objective of securing the gold medal.
Madame Pang said, "Everyone hopes to win the gold medal. We haven't won gold for eight years. This year is our chance. We cannot underestimate Timor-Leste. In the second game, we face Singapore. We aim to be first in the group."
"Football attracts great interest both in Thailand and abroad. The pressure falls on all players as there are expectations for the gold medal. There will definitely be bonuses, but I will keep that confidential for now."
"In this squad, the players are performing well with their clubs, especially Seksan Ratri, who recently scored for Rayong FC."
"Finally, I want to thank all the clubs for their cooperation in releasing players for the SEA Games team even though it is not a FIFA match day. I confirm we will do our best. We cannot overlook this tournament because it is hosted in Thailand. With the pride of being hosts, the Thailand national team hopes to reclaim the SEA Games championship. I also ask Thai football fans to support everyone."
The Thailand men's national football team will compete in Group A of the 33rd SEA Games group stage. Their first match is against Timor-Leste at Rajamangala Stadium on 3 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at 19:00.
