Such a Case: 2025 SEA Games Contractor Works Step-by-Step but Gets No Payment, Prepares to Pack Up (Video)

Each issue is truly a headache. The contractor for the 2025 SEA Games in the Chonburi zone is preparing to pack up after working without receiving the promised payment.

On 4 December 2025, Thailand, as host of the SEA Games 2025, continues to face ongoing drama. Previously, the designer of the opening and closing ceremonies was abandoned, resulting in seven months of unpaid preparation. In the men's football opening match between Thailand and Timor-Leste, stadium lighting had issues, and during the match between Vietnam and Laos, the national anthem did not play, forcing players to sing it themselves on 4 December.

A Facebook user named Love Led, who is contracted for the SEA Games 2025 in Chonburi province, posted that if by 16:00 today
no deposit is received, everything will be considered void. This is to inform everyone.

This post has already been shared over 400 times. Recently, the contractor released a lengthy video explaining the situation in detail.

“Hello, I will explain everything in this one clip regarding the drama being widely shared—several hundred shares by now. To clarify, the agreement was verbal about a deposit payment. Originally, the deposit was scheduled for Monday but was repeatedly postponed, making me uncertain. They then set today’s date. On Monday, I returned some of the work but kept some because I worried if I returned everything, the organizers might not find another contractor in time. So, I retained part of the work, expecting the payment on 4 December. I have been uneasy about the delays, so I posted this as evidence this morning: if the money does not arrive by 16:00, the contract is void. I will then take on other work instead. Honestly, the SEA Games job feels unclear. Despite being a large event, the contracting, hiring, and payment processes seem unclear.”

“Besides myself, I brought in associates and networks to join the work. If things fall through, I will be responsible for them. At the same time, I feel reluctant to abandon the organizers since we had an agreement. That’s why I posted that if payment is not received by 16:00, the contract is void. Most of my work is in the Chonburi zone, not connected to Rajamangala Stadium. Therefore, I want the news to report this clearly.”
