The Thai men's national futsal team showcased a powerful performance from the very first match, overwhelming Malaysia with a 7-1 victory to secure full three points at the 33rd SEA Games.


In the men's futsal competition at the 33rd SEA Games on 15 Dec 2025 19:00 GMT+7 at Nonthaburi Stadium, the Thai men's national futsal team played their opening match against Malaysia, delivering a fiery performance and winning decisively 7-1 to claim three points.

In this game, head coach Miguel Rodrigo started with a lineup of five players: Arut Senbat (GK), Worasak Srirangpairot, Krit Aransanyalak, team captain Itthicha Praphapan, and Amrin Aekaphan.

Just one minute into the game, Thailand quickly took the lead 1-0 when Amrin Aekaphan intercepted the ball and passed to Worasak Srirangpairot, who scored from close range inside the penalty area.

In the 7th minute, Thailand extended their lead to 2-0 as Sarawut Phalapruk assisted Chaowala Sri-awut, who scored within the penalty area. Then, in the 8th minute, the third goal came from a beautiful passing combination when Narongsak Wingwon laid the ball back to Muhammad Usman Musa, who scored from close range, making it 3-0.

Malaysia pulled one back at the 12th minute through Muhammad Alwaluddin, reducing the deficit to 1-3. Near the end of the first half, at the 20th minute, Thailand added a fourth goal when Apiwat Jamjaroen crossed to Narongsak Wingwon, who then passed to Muhammad Usman Musa for his second goal of the game. The first half ended with the score at 4-1.

In the second half, Thailand continued to dominate clearly and increased their lead to 5-1 in the 37th minute, following a quick kick-in by Worasak Srirangpairot that set up Muhammad Usman Musa to score.

At the 38th minute, Thailand scored two more goals in quick succession from Athippong Munplai and Ronachai Jungwongsuk, sealing a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Malaysia.

The match concluded with the Thai men's national futsal team securing their first win and earning full three points at the 33rd SEA Games in impressive fashion.
