In the men's futsal competition at the 33rd SEA Games on 15 Dec 2025 19:00 GMT+7 at Nonthaburi Stadium, the Thai men's national futsal team played their opening match against Malaysia, delivering a fiery performance and winning decisively 7-1 to claim three points.
In this game, head coach Miguel Rodrigo started with a lineup of five players: Arut Senbat (GK), Worasak Srirangpairot, Krit Aransanyalak, team captain Itthicha Praphapan, and Amrin Aekaphan.
Just one minute into the game, Thailand quickly took the lead 1-0 when Amrin Aekaphan intercepted the ball and passed to Worasak Srirangpairot, who scored from close range inside the penalty area.
In the 7th minute, Thailand extended their lead to 2-0 as Sarawut Phalapruk assisted Chaowala Sri-awut, who scored within the penalty area. At the 38th minute, Thailand scored two more goals in quick succession from Athippong Munplai and Ronachai Jungwongsuk, sealing a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Malaysia.
