Kamphaeng Phet rocks Cha Kang Rao Stadium, nearly bursting with excitement, sparking a youth football craze.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), together with the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Sports Association,
organized the KPP AMAZING FOOTBALL CUP.
Monday, 15 Dec 2025 19:00 GMT+7: Mr. Chatip Rujanaseri, Governor of Kamphaeng Phet, presided over the KPP AMAZING FOOTBALL CUP at Cha Kang Rao Stadium in Kamphaeng Phet Province. Mr. Phai Lik, President of the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Sports Association, and other provincial officials joined the event. The activity was supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote sport tourism and to spread football awareness, aiming to develop youth skills, enhance their understanding of sports, and shift attitudes and values toward recognizing the benefits of sports in a positive light.
Governor Chatip Rujanaseri said, “This event is a form of Sport Tourism that helps distribute tourists from major cities to secondary cities, aligning with TAT’s ‘Year of Celebration’ project for attractive destinations, which is our main supporter. This represents an integrated cooperation between the public and private sectors to organize sports tourism activities, using sports as a medium to increase economic value and boost income for people in Kamphaeng Phet. By inviting the popular football team “Mon Thong Wittaya” to face off against the local youth team from “Chalermprakiat School (Somdet Ya),” the event attracted over ten thousand enthusiastic fans. Before the big match, there was a grand warm-up including friendly matches for U8 and U10 children’s teams, a celebrity football team versus Kamphaeng Phet VIPs, plus an opening ceremony and a mini-concert by famous artists.”

Cheers roared as players took the field; fans even sat at the edge of the pitch to catch all the excitement!
• First half: The Chalermprakiat School team performed excellently, leading 2-1, prompting Coach Sakol to stand anxiously at the sidelines cheering on the Mon Thong team.
• Second half: Mon Thong Wittaya fought back to score and ultimately won the game 4-2.
The event concluded with a grand trophy presentation and a fireworks display celebrating the victory, bringing joy and lasting impressions to every fan in the stadium!
