
3 Nations Drop in Ranking: Latest FIFA Rankings of 11 ASEAN Countries December 2025
On 22 December 2025, the latest FIFA world rankings for 11 ASEAN countries were summarized after the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) officially announced the December 2025 rankings to close out the year.
It was revealed that Thailand's national team dropped one place from 95th to 96th in the world after being overtaken by Palestine, which rose to 95th by gaining 14.18 points from matches in the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup held from 25 November to 11 December.
Additionally, two other nations fell in the December FIFA rankings: Malaysia, which dropped the most by five places but still holds third among ASEAN countries, and Laos, which slipped three places after losing to Vietnam in the Asian Nations Cup on 19 November.
Meanwhile, three countries improved their world rankings: Vietnam, Singapore, and Brunei. Vietnam and Singapore made the largest gains, each climbing three spots.
