Thai Footballer Clashes with Opponent, Resulting in Broken Facial Bones on Both Sides

A Thai League 3 footballer clashed with an opponent, resulting in fractures to both sides of his facial bones.

On 25 Dec 2025, during the Thai League 3 “BGC Muang Thai Insurance Cup” match on 24 Dec 2025, VRN Muangnont FC hosted Samut Sakhon City and lost 1-2. A clash occurred late in the first half between VRN Muangnont FC forward Abdussalam Saman and Samut Sakhon's Saranphat Srirat, with both players sustaining injuries.

The VRN Muangnont FC Facebook page posted that Abdussalam Saman suffered fractures to both sides of his facial bones, requiring significant medical expenses, and thus the club is requesting donations.

“Abdussalam Saman, a footballer for VRN Muangnont FC, sustained serious injuries from an on-field clash during the match between VRN Muangnont FC and Samut Sakhon City,” the club stated.

“He suffered fractures to both sides of his facial bones, a broken nose, and a deformed lower jaw requiring surgery, which will involve substantial medical costs.”

“Because the club’s insurance coverage is insufficient for these treatments, additional support can be provided by donating directly to Abdussalam Saman’s Kasikorn Bank account, number 0711799710.”
