On 15 Jan 2026 GMT+7, “Aum” Theerathon Bunmathan, a footballer for the Thai national team “Chang Suek” from the “Thunder Castle” Buriram United, a prominent club in the BYD SEALION 6 LEAGUE 1 (Thai League 1), expressed his sorrow over the accident involving a crane from the high-speed train construction project falling onto a train.
The accident involved a crane from the high-speed rail construction project collapsing onto a train traveling from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani near Ban Thanon Kot railway, Sikhiu Subdistrict, Sikhiu District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
Recently, “Aum” Theerathon Bunmathan shared images and a message from the page of Uncle Newin, the president of the “Thunder Castle” Buriram United, expressing condolences for the incident, adding briefly, “My deepest condolences.”
