
Bangkok United's away match against Svay Rieng has been postponed amid ongoing unrest at the border area.
On 16 January 2026, the ASEAN Club Championship 2025/26 group stage match in Group B between Svay Rieng (Cambodia) and True Bangkok United (Thailand) was scheduled for 29 January at 19:00.
Originally, the match was to be played at Morodok Techo Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. However, due to ongoing unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border with no clear end in sight, safety concerns arose. Consequently, the "War Elephants" team confirmed to the organizers that they would not travel to Cambodia for the match.
Recently, True Bangkok United's official page confirmed the postponement of this match, stating:
Announcement of match postponement: The ASEAN Club Championship 2025/26 match between Svay Rieng FC and True Bangkok United, originally set for 29 January 2026 at Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has been postponed. Following consideration, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has decided to delay the match. The new date and venue will be announced later.
