Tae Mongkolkitti is ready to offer a 10 billion baht bonus if the Thai national team wins the World Cup.
On 22 January 2026, ahead of the general election on 8 February 2026, "Tae" Mongkolkitti Suksintharanon, the third on the party list and second prime minister candidate of the New Alternative Party, went live to talk with his fans.
One topic discussed was the cash bonus for the Thai national team if they win the World Cup, along with auctioning the players’ underwear from the final match without washing it.
"If they win, I'll give the whole team 10 billion baht because I want to hold the World Cup trophy with everyone — managers, players — and tour every province to show that Thailand has won the World Cup. We'll auction off the players' underwear from the winning match, unsigned and unwashed, signed by the players, then auctioned off for sale."
Mongkolkitti is among the most closely watched candidates in this election, known for unusual and distinctive policies such as establishing a space force, increasing salaries through push-ups, and hosting sports competitions in space.
