Ranked number 1 in ASEAN, the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) ranked the Thai League, revealing its position in Asia and worldwide.
On 29 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) officially released the 2025 annual football league rankings. The results showed that Thai football moved up to 47th in the world and 5th in Asia.
The Thai League was scored at 361.5 points. In 2024, Thailand was ranked 55th worldwide before climbing to 47th this year. In Asia, Thailand ranks just behind Saudi Arabia (13), Japan (20), South Korea (38), and the UAE (42).
The Thai football league has shown continuous growth and holds the 3rd highest coefficient ranking in East Asia from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It has earned the right to send teams to compete in the prestigious AFC Champions League 2026/27 season with 2+1+1 slots.
