Organizer Decides After Drunken Coach Hits and Kicks Football Player (Video)

The Thung Kong Cup organizers have filed legal charges against a football coach who, while intoxicated, kicked a football player.

On 3 Feb 2026, during the traveling football competition Thung Kong Cup in Tak Province, a viral incident occurred on social media when a coach suddenly kicked a player's face on the field, causing the player to suffer a split lip. The coach responsible was also intoxicated.

Recently, Facebook user Peerapong Promprang posted: "Hello, I am the caretaker and manager of the Nong Copter football team. I feel deeply disappointed and upset with the event organizers for their lack of decisiveness, neglect, and failure to restrain the opposing team. They allowed intoxicated individuals and unrelated persons to be near the sidelines, which led to this violent incident. From now on, I will pursue legal action to the fullest extent against the person who harmed my team’s child and will not accept any settlement. Thank you."

However, last weekend, the event organizers met with the football players to clarify the situation and provided compensation.

They have now confirmed filing a police complaint against the attacker of the youth football player and have submitted a letter to the Tak Provincial Sports Association to ban the offender.
