Nara United Player Raises Foot Against Opponents Chest, Issues Apology (Video)

A Nara United player raised his foot into an opponent's chest and has since posted an apology.

On 3 February 2026 GMT+7, during the BYD DOLPHIN LEAGUE 3 SEASON 2025/26 Southern Zone match between Samui United and Nara United, Samui United defeated the visitors 2-1, securing three points.

The notable incident involved Nara United defender Phumipat Sorapisitphat, who raised his foot high and struck the chest of Samui United player Ratthapoom Phankhechorn. Referee Theerapong Jandi did not hesitate to show a red card, immediately sending the Nara defender off the field.

This moment sparked significant attention online, coming shortly after an earlier incident where Nara U17 players threw punches at “Je Deaw” from Mon Thong Wittaya.

Phumipat Sorapisitphat of Nara United issued an apology on his personal Facebook, stating: “I apologize to the Samui players, staff, my teammates, and Nara fans for the disappointment I caused. I truly did not intend it and am sincerely sorry.” Many responded with support and understanding, recognizing it as part of the heat of football.
