Ice Rakchanok revealed she received information from Amineh Arong, candidate for Narathiwat MP, District 1, concerning a sports stadium that has been under construction for 13 years with a total budget of 400 million baht but remains unfinished.
On 4 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Ice Rakchanok Srinok, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bangkok's District 28 from the Prachachon Party, posted a clip touring a sports stadium in Narathiwat province. She stated that the stadium had been under construction for 13 years with a public tax-funded budget of 181 million baht but was still incomplete as of November 2025.
The clip went viral on social media, garnering over 95,000 likes, more than 3,300 comments, and over 2,000 shares. Viewers urged urgent action, seeing signs of corruption.
Recently, Ice Rakchanok disclosed that the information in the clip came from Amineh Arong, candidate for Narathiwat MP, District 1, in the 2026 general election on 8 February.
“Does everyone remember this news? The abandoned sports stadium in Narathiwat has been under construction for 13 years, with a budget of 181 million baht. But actually, combined budgets total about 400 million baht. Honestly, I didn’t know this place, but the person who took me on the field visit was Amineh Arong, who provided the information. She has been around since the Future Forward Party era and throughout her time as MP. I often visit the three southern border provinces, and Amineh has always taken care of things—arranging places, organizing transportation, and managing activities. I wanted to help her campaign, but my party assigned me to the northern region.”
Ice further revealed that when she said Amineh would run for MP in the three southern provinces, many were surprised and said they might only support the party but not Amineh, due to religious principles. However, Ice checked with religious experts and explained that this election is for a parliamentary representative, not a religious leader, so it is permissible. She acknowledged the sensitivity of the religious issue involved.
