
The culprit who stole football players' shoes from Plangkan FC, valued at up to 160,000 baht, has been revealed.
On 5 Feb 2026 GMT+7, a development occurred at Plangkan FC, a club in the 2025/26 Thai League season, when the club posted a statement saying
"Urgent Announcement!!!!"
"If anyone sees football boots or encounters anyone selling shoes and gloves, please report any clues to the club's page. About 20 pairs have gone missing, belonging to both Thai and foreign players, totaling around 160,000 baht. The club has already filed a police report."
"Incident location: Pol R.9 Football Field, Surasee Camp. The shoes were stored in the equipment room but someone broke the glass to steal them."
Latest reports confirm that the person who stole the footballers' items worth hundreds of thousands of baht is a student from a school in Kanchanaburi province, who livestreamed the sale on social media. The club will not press charges or take legal action against the student but is expected to summon them for a warning.
