True Bangkok United defeated Shan United to claim their first win in the Shopee Cup 2025/26.
On 5 Feb 2026 GMT+7, the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup 2025/26 group stage, Group B, match 5, saw True Bangkok United host Myanmar’s Shan United at True BG Stadium on Thursday, 5 Feb 2026 at 19:00 GMT+7.
Coach Thachathorn Sripan rotated nearly all positions for this match. Goalkeeper was Phuwadol Polsangram. The Thai center-back pair was Suphan Thongsong and Vision Inaram, making his first start. Fullbacks were Pratama Arhan and Nitipong Selanon. Midfield trio: captain Wisarut Imura, Seya Kunori, and Pakorn Anan. Three forwards: Rungrot Phumichanok, Kantaphon Keereeleang, and Artur Mora.
GOAL!!! In the 7th minute, Shan United’s first chance came when the ball deflected off Nitipong to Myat Khon, who shot past Phuwadol to put Shan United ahead 1-0.
In the 8th minute, Artur Mora tried a long-range right-foot shot; the goalkeeper fumbled but recovered to save.
At 12 minutes, Arhan lifted the ball to Seya Kunori, who dribbled forward and shot right-footed, blocked and caught by the keeper.
In the 21st minute, Pakorn Anan intercepted and passed to Artur Mora, who tested a long-range left-foot shot that went over the bar.
At 24 minutes, Pratama Arhan threw long into the box, Kantaphon’s shot was blocked, but the ball reached Rungrot, who scored left-footed to equalize 1-1.

At 87 minutes, Rungrot took a free kick from the edge of the box that narrowly missed the target.
In added time at 90+2 minutes, Wisarut Imura tried a long-range shot from the edge of the box that went wide.
Neither side scored thereafter. The match ended with True Bangkok United winning 2-1 at home, securing three points in the Shopee Cup 2025/26.
True Bangkok United’s next match is at home against Australia’s Macarthur in the AFC Champions League 2, round of 16 first leg, on Thursday, 12 Feb 2026 at 19:15 GMT+7 at True BG Stadium.
Regarding the Shopee Cup 2025/26 Group B postponed match 4, True Bangkok United will visit Cambodia’s Svay Rieng FC. The ASEAN Football Federation will announce the date and venue later.
