Revealed Compensation After Football Coach Kicks Opponent Player (Video)

A coach who kicked a child entered mediation with the victim's family, requesting to reduce compensation from 10,000 baht to 3,000 baht. Ultimately, the court mediated a payment of 8,000 baht. There has still been no apology for the incident.

On 7 Feb 2026, during the 3rd Thung Kong Cup football competition in Tak province, a youth player was assaulted and suffered a split lip. Previously, the event organizers contacted the victim's family to offer a gift basket and 2,000 baht as an apology for the incident.

Recently, police summoned both parties to Tak Provincial Court to acknowledge charges and negotiate mediation. Authorities charged the perpetrator under Criminal Code Section 391 for using force to assault another without causing serious bodily or mental harm (a minor offense), punishable by up to one month imprisonment, a fine up to 10,000 baht, or both.

The parents of the two victims demanded 10,000 baht in damages from the perpetrator, who immediately retorted, “If the clip isn’t posted, I would have paid 10,000 baht. Right now, I’m offering 5,000 baht.”

Another perpetrator negotiated to reduce compensation to only 3,000 baht, requesting to pay in three installments. He threatened to sue the victims’ family and team for sharing the incident clip with various media outlets if they refused.

In the end, the judge advised and mediated between both sides, resulting in the perpetrators agreeing to pay 8,000 baht each to the two assaulted youths. However, neither perpetrator has apologized to the victims or their families, leaving the family uncertain whether the offenders truly regret their actions.

Regarding progress on banning both perpetrators from sports by the Tak Provincial Sports Association, no updates have been reported.
