Madam Pang, President of the Football Association of Thailand, confirmed she has no plans to buy Muangthong United.
On 17 Feb 2026 GMT+7, amid social media rumors, "Madam Pang" Nualphan Lamsam, former Port FC chairman and current president of the Football Association of Thailand, was rumored to be considering a takeover of Muangthong United, who are struggling to avoid relegation in the 2025-26 Thai League.
Previously, it was reported that Madam Pang had purchased Kirin Valley Khao Yai, the training ground of Muangthong United, also known as "Kirin Phayong."
Following that, rumors about Madam Pang buying Muangthong United circulated on social media, but she personally posted a statement denying these claims as untrue.
"Regarding the rumors of buying Muangthong United, I confirm that this is not true… sincere regards, #MadamPang"
Currently, Muangthong United sits in 15th place in the 2025-26 Thai League, with 14 points from 20 matches, trailing 13th-place Lamphun Warriors—the safe zone—by 6 points, with 10 games remaining in the season.
