Coach Sakol Shares Heartfelt Words About Mon Thong Witthaya as He Prepares to Leave the Team (Video)

Coach Sakol Kliangsarert recounts how he began coaching Mon Thong Witthaya.

On 23 Feb 2026 GMT+7, amid social media buzz, Mon Thong Witthaya fans have been following news that Coach Sakol Kliangsarert, head coach of the Mon Thong Witthaya team, runners-up in the 7 HD CUP 2025 football tournament, is preparing to leave the team soon, leaving many stunned and questioning the truth of the reports.

Recently, the father of "Nong Tangkiu," Pannawat Pongboonphat, went live on social media to confirm that Coach Sakol is indeed preparing to depart from Mon Thong Witthaya.

The Facebook page 'Here at Paed Riew' recently interviewed Coach Sakol about how he began with Mon Thong Witthaya amid rumors of his upcoming departure, with reports that some players may follow him.

Coach Sakol said, "The first time we talked was when Coach Chaem brought me to Mon Thong. I spoke with the elders. Actually, they wanted me to sign a written contract, but as a man, my word is my bond. I said I would stay like a politician for four years, then we would talk again. It turned out that Coach Chaem, who brought me here, also had to take responsibility because the elders had given their word for me to stay. We were confident it was okay, no betrayal. I didn't want to sign a contract because of the various legal conditions, but a man's word is a three-year commitment. We tried to complete it by next year, with new players coming in. But it just so happened that the mangoes we planted ripened before the season and fell earlier than expected. Is it bad luck? Probably not. It’s a good thing; we got to enjoy mangoes ahead of the season, even if they were a bit sour, it was still good to taste the fruit we planted."
