On 23 February 2026, after Coach Sakol Kliangprasert gave an interview about preparing to step down as head coach of Monthongwittaya School at the end of this academic term, many wondered whether the players who grew up under Coach Sakol, such as the runner-up team in the 7 HD CUP 2025, would follow him to a new school.
Coach Sakol said, “About 80% might follow me, but those who want to go elsewhere or return home have the right to choose, or to stay at Monthongwittaya. We offer them 100 percent freedom to decide.”
