On 25 February 2026, Mon Thong Witthaya School parted ways suddenly with A. Sakon Kliangprasert after gaining fame as runners-up in the 7 HD CUP 2025 football tournament.
A. Sakon will take charge of Phutthirangsi Phibun School, also located in Chachoengsao province, with around 80% of the current players expected to follow him.
Recent reports indicate that "Coach Jun" Anurak Srikerd, former Thailand U19 national team coach and legendary Thai footballer, is preparing to lead Mon Thong Witthaya School to continue their excellent performance, with an official announcement expected soon.
Meanwhile, the Mon Thong Witthaya Football Alumni Club posted respect for A. Sakon's decision and noted that plans for the team's direction have already been prepared.
