"Assumption Sriracha" has developed prominent young footballers after proudly claiming the AssetWise BG CUP U19 championship for two straight years.
On 27 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Assumption Sriracha reaffirmed its position as a leader in youth football by winning the "AssetWise BG CUP U19 2025," a football tournament for players under 19. This marked their second consecutive title after showcasing strong performances against 16 top schools competing this year.
The tournament's highlight was the final match, a showdown between two football giants in a battle of pride known as the "Assumption Derby" between "Assumption Sriracha" and "Assumption Thonburi," two sibling schools with a long football history. Sriracha's team edged out their rivals in a tight penalty shootout, 5-4, retaining their championship for another year, winning a 300,000 baht prize, and becoming the first team to win this tournament twice in a row before an audience of over 7,000 fans.
The team’s skill was demonstrated by 11 youth players: Kraiwut Kosungnoen, Khemchat Sukto, Kanaphat Insing, Chitsanupong Silasuwan, Natchanon Chandi, Thanyawisit Taman, Patipat Janhom, Punyapat Thongsai, Patcharapon Wuttiwong, Siraphop Paennangrong, and Ittimon Thipnet, all coached by Master Benz - Nares Somngam.
This victory was no accident but the result of Assumption Sriracha's long-standing history as an institution renowned for developing players over decades through the "Chang Phueak Project." Their boarding school system emphasizes strict discipline combined with a distinctive, intensive football curriculum, producing players known for physical strength and strong teamwork. This has consistently supplied quality players to Thai League clubs and national teams, reinforcing their status as a leading football academy that continuously develops youth into professional athletes.
This is confirmed by the recent success of rising star alumnus "Pao-Theeraphat Prueathong," a highly talented 19-year-old right winger. A former key player for the school’s team that won the AssetWise x BGPU Youth Cup 2024, he advanced to the senior squad of BG Pathum United, known as "The Rabbits," and recently joined Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, a prominent club in Japan’s J-League, on loan. His move to Asia's top professional league not only brings prestige to the school but also serves as a model and inspiration for younger players, showing that with determination and good support, the path to global football is within reach.
This aligns with the mission of AssetWise Public Company Limited, a leading lifestyle real estate developer committed to advancing Thai youth football. Partnering with BG Sports, they organize high-quality competitions that provide young talents opportunities to compete and gain invaluable experience during this critical transition from school to professional football. AssetWise believes that strong foundations built at the youth level will develop skills, boost confidence, and help Thai youth surpass limits to become professional athletes and valuable international-level resources in the future.
Furthermore, AssetWise plans to offer another significant opportunity in the upcoming BGPU x BVB Football Carnival U15 powered by AssetWise tournament, scouting five outstanding players under 15 to train with Borussia Dortmund in Germany. This underscores AssetWise’s vital role in opening doors for Thai youth to reach the global stage.
