Coach Jun speaks frankly about captain Te Warakorn after Mon Thong Wittaya lost 7-0 to Chai Nat Provincial Administration Organization (video).
On 13 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Coach Jun Anurak Srikead, the new head coach of Mon Thong Wittaya School, gave an interview after leading the team for the first time in the Black Hunter High School Premier League 2026, week 1.
Coach Jun Anurak Srikead replaced Asst. Coach Sakol Kliangprasert, who moved to coach Phutthirangsri Pibul School football team in Chachoengsao Province. He led Mon Thong Wittaya in their first match of the league competition against Chai Nat Provincial Administration Organization.
This match was a rematch of the latest 7-Color Football final, in which Chai Nat PAO decisively defeated Mon Thong Wittaya 7-0.
After the game, Coach Jun Anurak Srikead said, "We only practiced for two days, which was okay. At least today we gained something to build on. First is the mindset. We've never played 11-a-side football with this style before. I want the players to focus on close footwork to develop teamwork."
"Chai Nat has their own league. They have a team playing in Thai League 2 and experienced coaches with good results. We faced a strong team, which is a good lesson. Today, we didn’t know the players well, how the line four plays or their positioning, so we need to study more."
"When asked how to motivate the players after conceding 7 goals and keep fighting, football is a league and builds on each game. The first thing is to get the players to take responsibility in defense."
"We won’t blame anyone, not even the goalkeeper who conceded goals. Blaming would hurt these growing kids. There are five 15-year-olds on the field. We are happy to see them get opportunities and show commitment. I believe football develops if we give chances and build on them."
Meanwhile, Coach Jun also spoke about captain Te Warakorn Changkhian Dee, Mon Thong Wittaya’s standout player from the runner-up 7-Color Football team: "This team is a new product. We have reestablished that current and new players must know their roles, but we also need a good management system."
"Now, Mon Thong’s management system is gradually taking shape. They are learning more about football leagues, which is good. To reach the Department of Physical Education football level, category C, they must learn from this first. The players must think about how playing here helps their development and how their positions can improve."
"For example, Te is comfortable playing on the wing. Today, he moved inside and was more involved in the game. When kids get more close footwork on the field, it helps their development. If they don’t participate and just run forward competing physically, they won’t progress."
"Physical strength alone doesn’t make a winner. Strength must come with thinking skills. We teach how to think and understand the system, which leads to long-term growth. This is school football. I believe if many professional coaches run youth leagues, they will see these kids can progress quickly."
