Newin Wastes No Time with Sharp Remarks After Burirams Resounding Revenge Win Over Chonburi, Nearing Thai League 1 Title

"Newin" wastes no time with sharp remarks after Buriram decisively avenges their loss to Chonburi, closing in on the Thai League 1 title.

On 14 March 2026 GMT+7, the "Uncle Newin" Facebook page shared the latest remarks from Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United, following their 5-0 home thrashing of Chonburi FC in the BYD Sea Lion Six League One 2025/26 (Thai League 1) week 25.

In this match, Chonburi FC was reduced to 10 men as early as the 5th minute when Kevin Inacio was shown a red card after a VAR review for an arm swing to the face of Sandy Walsh. Buriram United then scored twice through Guilherme Bissoli, and once each from Ruben Sanchez, Sandy Walsh, and Supachai Jaided.

This allowed the "Thunder Castle" to exact revenge on "The Sharks" after having lost 2-4 away earlier this season and failing to win in their last three encounters (drawing 1-1 and 2-2 in the previous two).

Newin Chidchob commented after Buriram's 5-0 win over Chonburi FC, saying, "Revenge compounded with interest. Thanks to all the support. Together we secured these 3 points successfully. Buriram United #StandingStrongAndLong-lasting."

This victory puts Buriram United firmly atop the Thai League 1 standings with 59 points, extending their lead over second-place Port FC to 16 points, bringing them closer to the championship. Meanwhile, Chonburi FC remains in 10th place with 28 points.
